Lyf, developed by MyLyf Systems Limited, values your trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile applications, kiosks, USSD services, or related platforms. By using Lyf, you agree to the terms described below.

When you use Lyf, we may collect the following types of information:
Personal Information: Name, phone number, profile picture, email address, ID (where required for KYC), and payment details.
Location Data: Real-time GPS location to enable rides, deliveries, and service tracking. We collect the precise or approximate locations of users, drivers, delivery personnel, or service providers to enable different services, enable tracking and safety features, prevent and detect fraud, and comply with legal requirements. Wecollect this information when the app is running in the foreground or background of the user's mobile device.
Transaction Data: Ride history, delivery orders, marketplace transactions, and payment records.
Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and network details.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
Provide and improve Lyf’s services.
Match customers with drivers, delivery agents, or service providers.
Process payments and generate receipts.
Ensure safety, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal requirements.
Communicate with you about updates, promotions, or support.

3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data.
Information may be shared with trusted partners (such as drivers, merchants, payment processors, or logistics providers) only as needed to deliver services.
Data may be disclosed to regulators or authorities where required by law.

4. Data Retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with laws, or resolve disputes.

5. Delete user data
We retain user data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide its services and comply with legal obligations. The user has the right to delete all personal data collected by the app. Please follow the below process to request data deletion.
Steps to Request Data Deletion: Users may request deletion of their account via application only. Follow the path "Login into the application >> Go to Profile Section >> Find "Account Settings" >> Tap on "Manage Accounts" >> Look for the option "Delete Account" to request data deletion

6. Data Security
Lyf uses encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your information. While we work to safeguard your data, no system is 100% secure, and you use our services at your own risk.

7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access the data we hold about you.
Request corrections or updates.
Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal requirements.
Opt out of promotional communications.

8. Children’s Privacy
Lyf is not intended for users under 18 without parental or guardian consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app with a new effective date. Continued use of Lyf after changes means you accept the updated policy.
